Firefighters freed two people after a crash on the Huntingdon Bypass.

One crew from Sawtry and one crew and a rescue vehicle from Huntingdon were called to the road betweeen The Stukeleys roundabout and Spittals roundabout at 4.31pm on Saturday (June 28).

Two cars were involved in the crash and firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to release two people from a vehicle in a ditch. One other casualty was also left with the ambulance service, who confirmed that they took two people to Hinchingbrooke Hospital with back injuries which were not thought to be life-threatening.

Fire crews returned to their stations by 5.50pm.
