A Fenstanton hairdresser has been overwhelmed by the support she has received since deciding to shave her hair for charity.

Lisa Oliver, of Pear Tree Close, took on the hair-raising challenge in support of Macmillan following the death of her dad, Brian, from pancreatic cancer.

On the third anniversary of his death, on July 29, surrounded by friends and family at hair salon Strands, in Somersham, Lisa underwent the transformation.

“The whole thing went very well, the salon was absolutely packed and there were even people looking through the window,” said Lisa.

“I think my dad would have been really proud, he would have been the one wielding the clippers and laughing at me.”

Lisa raised about £2,042 from donations and sponsorship.
