The family from Park Road, in Sawtry will be visiting the third largest city in the country, Mzuzu, at the end of May to give youngsters the opportunity to get the education they deserve. Mum Michelle, 39, said: Growing up my husband did everything in his power to get educated and then support his family back home and we feel that every child should have a full and happy education. As a part of the trip the family, including Morgan, 14, Alisha, 7 and Nelson, 2, will go to the Luwinga Area 1B School where the supplies will be given to. We already have connections with the school and we so often see that the children dont have the tools that they need to complete their education, said Michelle. The familys aim is to be able to give each child at the school three pens, three pencils and three books. This will help them complete a school year with the right tools but to do this we need to raise a minimum of £1900. To do this the family have linked with Sawtry Infant School and Sawtry Academy as well as a number of companies including Spice Land in Sawtry and Tescos. We will be doing bag packing, a poster competition with Sawtry Infants and a number of raffles, added Michelle. But the family need more help to be able to donate vital funds for the school. Any help we can get will be fantastic as we have seen how much the children need this equipment.
