David Webb was injured after a crane collapsed at a site in Crewe on June 21 - an incident which also saw two others killed. The 43-year-old was taken to hospital following the incident but died of his injuries, Cheshire police confirmed yesterday (Wednesday). Mr Webb, who was originally from Northampton, lived with his partner, Nathalie, in St Neots. Paying tribute to Mr Webb, his family said: Dave died from doing a job that he loved and was very passionate about. Dave was a fun-loving character who lived his life to the full. He was known for his large personality and sung his way through life. He will be sadly missed by his partner Nathalie, children Maisy and Charlie, his mum Jenny, his sister Julie, his brother Mark, their families and his many friends. Its a heartbreaking time for the family as we lost Daves beloved father Alan six days before Dave passed away. Before Mr Webbs death a JustGiving page was set up to help his family whilst he was undergoing treatment in hospital, which had aimed to raise £2,000 but has so far received £6,885 in donations. In the last few days, tributes to Mr Webb have appeared on the fundraising page. One friend posted: So sad to hear of Dave losing his brave fight. Thoughts are with Nathalie, the kids and all Daves family and friends. And another said: With our deepest sympathy on your familys loss. Cheshire police said they were continuing to work alongside the Health and Safety Executive, the local authority and building control to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
