A family firm which ran a nursery at Hinchingbrooke Hospital for nearly 20 years has set up a new enterprise in nearby Brampton.

HRH Nurseries left last month after private healthcare company Circle, which manages the Huntingdon hospital, decided to bring in a new organisation to run its nursery in a refurbished building. It moved out on the final day of October and opened its new premises – The Barn, Day Nursery, off Thrapston Road – the following Monday, November 3.

Glen Perrott, HRH director, said what had appeared something of a setback had become a blessing.

“The building is a converted barn and has made a magnificent early years setting.

“More than 80 per cent of the children from what was Hinchingbrooke nursery joined us, as did the majority of the staff,” she said.
