We are urging as many Huntingdonshire families as possible to show their support for the Woodlands unit, at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon, by signing up for Two Wheels for Woodlands on Sunday, June 29. There will be two short routes available for families, one on roads surrounding the start\/finish at Alconbury Weald and one traffic-free on the former RAF base itself. The ride costs £5 for a family of four, with all money going straight to Woodlands to help with the £800,000 needed to build an extension on the unit to treat more people with cancer. Hunts Post Editor Andy Veale said: This is a great way for families to get involved in supporting the Woodlands centre and the staff who provide such dedicated care to people struck down with cancer. The traffic-free route is a perfect environment for families with small children, while for those who have slightly older children, there is a seven-mile route around Huntingdonshire villages with an option to double their distance back on the airfield. You can also request a form by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or collect one at The Hunts Post office. Send your entry forms to The Hunts Post, 30 High Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3TB with a £5 cheque payable to Woodlands Cancer Centre. There are also sponsorship forms available by visiting www.huntspost24.co.uk and clicking on the Two Wheels for Woodlands section.
