The annual Eynesbury bazaar went with a bang on Saturday, and organisers hope to have beaten last year’s total of 375 for the village association.
Organised by Gillian Robb and Georgina Corley, this year’s indoor event was hailed a “brilliant success” by Eynesbury Village Assocation chairman Steven Van De Kerkhove.
“This was all down to the hard work of our events committee and everyone involved,” he said.
The bazaar included performances by Eynesbury Primary School choir and the Langdale Academy street dance troupe as well as the presentation of community awards.
This year, the EVA Community Champion Award was presented to former mayor of St Neots, Gordon Thorpe, for his services to the town.
Mr Thorpe received the award from St Neots’ town crier, Mike Blackburn. “It was a total surprise to me,” he said. “I would like to thank the community association and members of EVA for the award which I will always treasure.
