Attractions included a fun fair, a re-enactment of the story of St George and demonstrations of tin bashing and wood turning. There was also a dog show. People who came enjoyed a happy day, said James Corley, village association chairman. With the new site it was a case of hold your breath and cross your fingers. But people were very complimentary. There was a lucky programme drawn. It was number 17 and the £50 prize is still unclaimed!
