TIMES PAST: This view of the former Hippodrome cinema was one of dozens which formed an exhibition looking back at the ever-changing face of Huntingdon’s High Street.
More than 100 people attended the week-long exhibition entitled Turn Back Time - Huntingdon High Street at Huntingdon Library and Archives last month. The Huntingdon and Godmanchester Civic Society provided information about historic buildings in and around the town centre needing urgent attention, including the 400-year-old now derelict pub, the Falcon Tavern.
Members of the Huntingdon Community Archive were on hand to demonstrate their website which now contains more than 2,000 images of Huntingdon. Another chance to see the exhibition will be taking place at Huntingdon Library and Archives in November.
