YOUNGSTERS in St Neots marked 150 days until the start of the London Olympic Games by holding their own sports competition.
Year 8 pupils from Longsands Academy and Ernulf Academy joined together in teams of ten for the day-long series of activities.
Each team played 150 minutes of sport, which included half-an-hour of basketball, uni-hock, netball and handball. Girls took part in the afternoon session and boys in the morning.
Longsands Academy PE teacher Sebastian Hood, who helped to organise the day, said: βIt was fantastic. It was really successful. We are going to hold a whole school event to mark 100 days before the Olympics.β
