Youngsters from Godmanchester Rovers and Stukeley Meadows under 10s teams pitched themselves against ex-England goalkeeper Ian Walker for a charity penalty shoot-out on Saturday.

The former Tottenham player helped raise 600 for the Willow Foundation by appearing at the Rovers home ground at Hinchingbrooke School. The foundation set up by former Arsenal and Scotland goalkeeper Bob Wilson in memory of his daughter, Anna, provides support for people with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Goddy Rovers under 10 coach Colin Burroughes, who organised the competition, said: “Ian was impressed with the Goddy set up. Thank you Ian from all at Goddy Rovers.”
