Emergency services were called to an incident in Tillbrook on Sunday after a man became stuck in the trough of a conveyer belt – 10 feet in the air.

A fire crew from Kimbolton along with HART team - a specialist medical response team - from the East of England Ambulance Service attended the scene at about 7.28pm to release the man after he had suffered a back injury.

The patient was given some pain relief before the operation began to him in down.

As a part of the operation a stretcher had to be taken apart and reassembled before lowering him down. He was then given further treatment by the ambulance service.

Watch Commander Russell Gooderham said: "It was quite a difficult rescue because of the locality of where the man was but with good interagency working we had a successful outcome."
