An elderly woman has had more than £3,000 stolen from her bank account after her bank card was stolen in a supermarket in St Neots.
The woman was shopping in the Lidl store, in Cambridge Street, between 2pm and 3pm on March 20 when her bank card was stolen from her handbag. The thief went on to make £3,500-pounds-worth of unauthorised transactions using the card.
Officers are investigating the theft and subsequent fraud, but are warning people to keep their cards safe and never write down the PIN number.
