WHERE PHOTOGRAPHERS DARE: This stunning shot of a white tailed eagle taken on the Isle of Mull by Richard Coles was voted as the best of a magnificent bunch of pictures take by the members of St Ives Photographic Club.

The shot was one of more than 400 printed and printed and digitally projected images that were displayed by the club on Friday and Saturday (November 23-24) in the Free Church Centre on Market Hill, St Ives.

About 300 people attended the show and were given the chance to vote for their favourites – and Mr Coles, of Wistow, received the highest number of first choice votes.

Club president, Steve Eeley, said Mr Coles’ show was given some competition by Ivan Barrett, of Warboys, who received the highest aggregate total of first, second and third votes for his excellent image of a snowy egret.
