Tails were wagging as a new café where dogs can sit alongside their owners and enjoy a drink was launched. The cafe was the idea of the Phoenix Project, which helps people to learn more skills and get back into work, to help its members gain greater expertise. The dog café will open every Tuesday, from 10am-noon, at the Ramsey Cricket Club for those wanting to enjoy some precious time with their pooches. Last year we worked on a ghost hunting event, along with another event about animals and from that we found out our participants like animals, said Alison Seery, project manager. We then talked to Chris Kent, from the K9 Project in Ely, and we were really taken by it and thought it would be a good idea to run here. During the grand opening on March 21, about 30 people turned up with their pets all wanting to experience the café.
