A DOG has died after a fight outside a Huntingdon pub.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the confrontation to come forward.
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier was with its owner at the Lord Protector pub in Mayfield Road when the fight broke out at about 9.45pm on Tuesday (August 24).
Words had been exchanged between two men who then began fighting. During the fracas the Staffie suffered fatal injuries.
There was a group of about 10 people outside the pub at the time and police would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened.
A 26-year-old man from St Neots and a 57-year-old man from Huntingdon have been arrested on suspicion of affray and bailed to return to Huntingdon Police Station on September 24.
