TheatreCom owner Gary Weston was shocked as he turned up to work at Ramsay Court, (CORRECT SPELLING) in Hinchingbrooke Business Park, on Monday morning to find an empty space where his grey Ford Transit, registration number AJ11OGK, with distinctive stickers, was parked when he left on Saturday lunch time.

Mr Weston told The Hunts Post: “I’m gutted. It is hard enough to earn money these days and then this happens. Luckily the van was empty.

“Because the van is so distinctive I was surprised that anyone would want to steal it, that was my first reaction. We have a fairly good idea when the van was stolen as the snow was lighter where the van was to the area around it.

“I don’t know why you’d want to steal this van except to just steal a van, but this one is not conspicuous.”

He added: “There is 24-hour security in the business park and they would have been caught on CCTV.

“The thieves would have got out one of two ways, either past a bollard with a key code which is unlikely, or right past the security hut where they would have been stopped.

“I just hope that we find it.”

The company was meant to deliver some of its theatre and stage LED lighting to Cromwell Park Primary School on Monday but the delivery had to be delayed until alternative arrangements were made.

A police spokesman said an investigation has been started and have appealed for anyone who has seen the van to get in contact.
