ST NEOTS looks set to get a seven-screen cinema, new restaurants and a 160-space car park in a new town centre development.

Chelmsford-based Turnstone Estates, which has also been active in the Cambridge area, announced today that it had been appointed as preferred developer for the 1.5-acre old fire station and recycling centre site by Huntingdonshire District Council, which owns much of the land.

Turnstone managing director Chris Goldsmith said a number of potential cinema operators and restaurateurs had already shown interest.
