Why add a glass extension to your home?

If you crave more space but want something different to enhance your home, a conservatory or orangery could be the answer.

"People want more from conservatories than the classic plastic structure and so conservatory designs continue to develop and improve," explains Steve.

Admiral Homespace offers the latest product designs and stays up to date with changing building regulations. They provide valuable insight and advice on the best extension for your home. Their new GlassBox building is on display at the show centre in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire, featuring a solid construction with flat glass roof lights and huge sliding doors. It's worth a visit as it features an impressive range of windows bi-fold doors and all things related to conservatories.

Does your front door reflect the rest of your home?

"First impressions count and if you're looking to sell your home, we would always recommend a new front door. These days home owners are more concerned with turning their house into their ideal home, as some are staying put for much longer. The choice of door is important, as you could be using it for many years to come," explains Steve.

Admiral Homespace offers a huge range of replacement doors in aluminium, timber and PVC/composite materials.

Out with the plastic, in with the aluminium

Steve says: "Aluminium is well and truly back in terms of demand for windows and doors and is often the first choice of framing in modern architectural projects. If you're looking for more light I'd recommend slimmer aluminium framed windows and doors with large glass panels."

Aluminium is light yet incredibly rigid, maintenance free and can be supplied in almost any colour. Admiral Homespace offers bi-fold doors, contemporary coloured windows and doors as well as conservatory ranges in aluminium.

Talk to the experts

"It's sometimes hard for homeowners to imagine how an extension or conservatory will look at their home. This makes planning and specifying their requirements difficult and it's why some projects are referred to expensive architects when they really don't need to be," explains Steve.

Admiral Homespace has in-house 3D drawing experts. They can show an impression of the new room on your actual property and add in as much technical detail as required. For illustration purposes this service is often available free of charge.

A visit to the design room in the show centre at Alconbury will give you plenty of design inspiration and help you to visualise what your new conservatory could look like.
