MOTORISTS faced long delays on the A14 during rush hour after a car crashed into the central reservation near to Brampton Hut. The single-vehicle collision took place at 6am on the eastbound carriageway on Monday (September 27) and involved a black Ford Focus. A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said the collision is believed to have happened when the driver swerved to avoid an animal in the road. The driver was uninjured but the passenger suffered minor injuries. The road had been cleared by 7.30am.
