Or what some of their support staff go to keep the county safe? As part of #OurDay a social media campaign on Twitter the Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) offered a snap shot of their work over a 24 hour period. The #OurDay event is a yearly social media campaign to celebrate the diverse work completed by local councils and public bodies on a day-to-day basis. The event took place last Tuesday (November 21) and the CFRS didnt miss a minute, documenting every aspect of the day. From the morning meeting to life saving equipment checks, the CFRS updated the #OurDay Twitter blog every step of the way. Chief fire officer Chris Strickland said a short video to end the day: I hope youve enjoyed having a look behind the scenes to see what goes on. I hope youve got an appreciation that to support that delivery of service theres a huge range of things that happen behind the scenes. Were signing off now, but dont forget, out there, across the whole of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, crews are working 24 hours a day to keep the community safe.
