POLICE have named a cyclist killed in a collision at the weekend.
POLICE have named a cyclist killed in a collision at the weekend.
Michael Smyth, 39, died after a collision with a grey Ford Tourneo in the early hours of Sunday morning (August 28), on Histon Road in Cambridge.
It is believed Mr Smyth, who lived at Central Avenue, Orchard Park, had formerly been of Huntingdon.
The car was travelling southbound towards Victoria Road when it was involved in a collision with Mr Smyth’s bike at about 1.10am, and police are now appealing for witnesses.
Pc Tim Kirkby, investigating, said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw the collision, or either the vehicle or cyclist prior to it, to contact police.”
