The teenage cyclist who died following a crash with two cars in Cambridge on Wednesday night has been named.
Elizabeth Byrne-McDermott, 16, of Humberstone Road, Cambridge, was involved in a collision with a yellow Peugeot 307 and a grey Audi A3 in Milton Road, just north of its junction with Birch Close, at just before 7pm.
She was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with life-threatening injuries, where she later died.
No one in the other cars was injured.
Police are appealing for witnesses of the crash or anyone who saw any of the vehicles just prior to get in touch with Sergeant Lyndon Pickston at the Roads Policing Unit on 101.
