A TEENAGE cyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a van last night (Thursday) in Huntingdon.
A TEENAGE cyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a van last night (Thursday) in Huntingdon.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened on Sallowbush Road, about 100m north of its junction with Beech Close, at about 7pm.
The 15-year-old was riding a blue BMX and had just joined the road from an adjacent cycleway when the collision happened.
He suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. The driver of the van, a 38-year-old man from Huntingdon, was not injured.
A police spokesman said: “Anyone who saw the incident or either of the vehicles just prior should contact Pc David Tudman at the Roads Policing Unit.”
