POWER was cut to more than 120 houses near Wistow after a car collided on Saturday evening with a wooden pole supporting electricity lines.
The collision, which happened at about 7.40pm, caused damage to the pole and engineers had to work through the night to restore power to the 124 affected houses.
Paramedics and fire crews from Huntingdon and Ramsey also attended, and treated the driver of the car at the scene.
Engineers dealt with the cable that was on the road and restored power to the majority of houses within the hour, before conducting further repairs.
A spokesman for UK Power Networks said engineers had to replace a wooden pole and overhead power line which had been knocked down.
She added: “The damage caused power supplies to be interrupted to 124 customers in the Wistow area at 7.39pm.
