Councillors will discuss plans for a 24-hour gym in St Neots when they meet on Thursday.
A plan, submitted by Gainz Fitness & Strength based in Eaton Socon, proposes to make use of the empty unit at The Rowley Arts centre adjacent to Cineworld.
The application states that the building is vacant and has never been occupied and is for ‘change of use to entertainment and leisure and three signs’. Applicant Amber Beardshall said on the document: “We propose to use the building as a 24-hour health and fitness club, with member access via biometric readers. In order to achieve this, we seek permission to change the use to entertainment and leisure (D2 class We also seek permission to erect three signs above the main entrance, as well as on the rear of the building.”
Councillors on the planning committee of St Neots Town Council will discuss the plans when they meet on August 24.
The Rowley Arts Centre comprises a six-screen cinema, Frankie and Bennys, Prezzo and Pizza Express.
