Five cages full of copper cable worth £30,000 was taken from a factory unit off the A14 at Ellington between 3.30pm on Saturday and 11am on Sunday. Meanwhile offenders used a dumper truck to pull the door off a steel container holding £6000 worth of copper fittings from a building site in Longsands Road, St Neots. Power tools were also stolen in the incident which happened between 6.30pm on Friday and 8am on Monday. Detective Chief Inspector Ian Tandy said: These were high value thefts and we are keen to speak to anyone who has any information which could assist our investigations.
