Hundreds of people have had their say on proposals to improve public transport and walking and cycling routes on the road from Cambourne to Cambridge.
The Greater Cambridge Partnership received more than 1,700 responses to the Better Bus Journeys consultation, which closed on January 30.
The 11-week consultation began in November with the partnership’s consultation bus stopping at 19 venues and public spaces in Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire before Christmas, with further public events held during January.
The partnership will now begin analysing the responses and the findings will be published in April. The findings will be put before members of the executive board in the summer for a decision on how the project should progress.
Cllr Francis Burkitt, chairman of the executive board, said: “This has been one of the largest consultations the partnership has carried out so far and I would like to thank everyone for sharing their opinions on the scheme and for coming out to the events.

“Your feedback will help us to determine how we can provide first-class public transport links and cycling and walking routes for people travelling along the A428.”
The Cambourne to Cambridge scheme aims to provide fast, reliable and sustainable transport links between existing and new homes and places of employment.
