For more than 25 years the people of Little Paxton and beyond have been gathering to celebrate the village at the annual Paxfest event, and this year was no different.
More than 500 people gathered in Little Paxton on Saturday at an event organised to showcase the village and its talented residents.
The annual Paxfest event, on the Queen Elizabeth II Playing Field, which attracts people from across the area, celebrated its 25th anniversary this year and visitors enjoyed a cake competition, fun dog show, music, tombola, face painting, stalls, music and food.
Parish clerk, Jenny Gellatly, said: “The day was fantastic and the weather really made it. The bands were brilliant and there was a really great community spirit.”
The fun dog show attracted 177 owners with their dogs, some of whom entered more than one class.
Taking to the stage were artists of all ages, including Cambridge and Surrounding District Brass Band, the Portahouse Jazz Six, The Peterborough Highland Pipe Band and the Little Paxton School Choir.
“Also on the day we had a competition for people to design a cake for the Queen,” said Mrs Gellatly.
The competition was won by Mylene Wolfe, from Huntingdon, who created a cake in the shape of a corgi covered in a Union Jack flag.
