STUDENTS from the College of Animal Welfare in Godmanchester had their achievements recognised at the annual awards ceremony last month.

The ceremony recognised the achievements that students had made during the past year, not only at the college’s Godmanchester centre but also at its other centres in Potters Bar, Leeds and Edinburgh, as well as students who are learning in their workplaces all over the country.

This year the awards, which were sponsored by leading companies in the animal and veterinary field, were presented by animal behaviourist and chief executive officer of the Company of Animals, Dr Roger Mugford.

Dr Mugford, who founded the Animal Behaviour Centre in 1979, is a leading authority in the field and was awarded the Blue Cross Welfare Award in 2005.
