Youngsters got hands on with history at the Norris Museum as they learnt the skills of their ancient ancestors.
Year 3 pupils from Wheatfields Primary School took the opportunity to handle prehistoric artefacts at the St Ives museum as well as hand weave baskets and fish traps, carve cave art into bone using flint tools and dye fabrics with natural plant dyes.
The workshop was run by volunteers Isabel Craig, Sue Poll, Zena Brackenbury and assistant curator Gilly Vose.
Teacher Sarah Guest said: “The pupils really enjoyed the hands on activities as they were able to experience something from history that they have never seen before. The whole experience was fun and interesting and the quality teaching enabled all pupils to access their learning.”
