Magpas Helimedix Doctor Alex Cross and paramedic Paul Sallis were called to Buttsgrove Way at 8.43am, arriving via the emergency medical charitys rapid response BMW. They assessed the 11-year-old child who was distressed and cold, but did not have any life threatening injuries. A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service, who also attended, said that the boy had been hit by the wing mirror of the car and suffered a minor hip injury. He was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital by land ambulance for further observation, accompanied by his mum. Cambridgeshire Police were also present.
