A boy was hit by a car in Huntingdon this morning (Tuesday).

Magpas Helimedix Doctor Alex Cross and paramedic Paul Sallis were called to Buttsgrove Way at 8.43am, arriving via the emergency medical charity's rapid response BMW.

They assessed the 11-year-old child who was distressed and cold, but did not have any life threatening injuries. A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service, who also attended, said that the boy had been hit by the wing mirror of the car and suffered a “minor hip injury”.

He was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital by land ambulance for further observation, accompanied by his mum.

Cambridgeshire Police were also present.
