CAMBRIDGESHIRE's top police officer is taking to YouTube to update the public on upcoming changes to the force.

Chief constable Simon Parr appears in the short films to explain Cambridgeshire Police's future plans in four key areas: budget, collaboration, performance and the role of the public.

They have been released via YouTube and the force website.

Many of the questions covered in the films address issues raised by the public through the online budget calculator application.

The budget calculator gives the public the chance to ponder the budget decisions the force faces and can be found on the force website.

Mr Parr said: “The films give us an opportunity to reassure the public that we still have a lot of money to deliver policing.

“We will meet this challenge by thinking differently and, despite the reduced budget, we will continue to proactively tackle crime.
