OFFICERS are searching for a man in connection with stealing a bike from Huntingdon railway station.
A 35-year-old man from Huntingdon locked his bike at the station on Thursday, September 13, at around 8.15am and when he returned the following day at 8am, the bike had been stolen.
British Transport Police officers have released an image of a man who is believed to have entered the station and stood near the racks before taking the bike at around 12.30am on September 14.
Sergeant Roy McMichael said: “Officers will continue to carry out high visible patrols in and around the station and bike racks, delivering crime prevention advice for owners who fail to properly lock and secure their cycles.
“We work closely with train operator First Capital Connect to tackle cycle crime at rail stations and ask passengers to report any suspicious behaviour to a member of staff or police.”
