Police are appealing for witnesses after reports of a distraction burglary at a house in Kimbolton on Monday.

A man pretending to be from the water board entered a house in Newtown, at about 6pm, and distracted the homeowner before stealing about £70 and a tin full of coins.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said that no arrests had been made and that investigations into the incident were ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
