A man in his teens was taken to hospital after his car flipped onto its roof into a ditch near Ramsey last night (Thursday).

Emergency services were called to Wood Lane, just outside the graveyard, at shortly after 10.30pm. Firefighters helped the man from the car.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance were sent to the scene. The Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) also responded as the car was smoking and there was a risk of a fuel spill.

The spokesman added the man suffered multiple injuries to his arms, back and head but none were life threatening.

The man was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for further treatment.
