MOTORISTS in Huntingdon and St Ives are being urged to keep valuables out of sight following a series of thefts.
Thieves have taken stereos, sat navs, mobile phones and mp3 players in cars and tools from vans. Vehicle crime has now been made a priority for officers.
Community safety officer Julie Hanrahan said: “We would like to remind motorists to remove valuable items from display.
“They should remove traces of the sat nav suction from the windscreen and never leave tools in vans or vehicles
“Signs explaining valuable items have been removed from the vehicle could also reduce the chance of thieves breaking in.”
