Car fire at Waresley was arson

A fire in a car at Waresley this morning was arson, firefighters have said.

A crew from Gamlingay was called to the blaze at Manor Farm Road in the village at 9.14am.

Firefighters arrived to find a car well alight and wore breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire using hoses, before returning to their station by 10.30am.

Firefighters said the cause of the fire was deliberate and urged anyone with information to contact police by visiting www.cambs.police.uk to submit an online report or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
