A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from St Neots found the car on fire in Mill Lane when they arrived at the scene shortly after 6.18pm.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to extinguish the fire, and returned to their station by 7.35pm.
An investigation found that the cause of the fire was accidental.
