A DRIVER had a lucky escape when his car left the road and entered a ditch near Ramsey last night (Wednesday).
The man, in his 30s, was able to get out of the car which was stranded next to St Mary’s Road after the accident at 6.15pm.
Magpas Helimedix doctor Jon Briks and paramedic Adam Carr assessed the driver and protected his spine. The patient was taken to Peterborough City Hospital as a precaution.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the man was dazed and confused.
Dr Jon Birks said: “We wish the man well. We would also like to thank all the Emergency Services for all their hard work.”
