Firefighters tackled a car fire on the A1 southbound.
One crew from Huntingdon and one from Sawtry were called to the stretch of road between Sawtry and Alconbury south at 4.33pm yesterday (Tuesday).
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish a Saab vehicle, which was well alight.
They returned to their stations by 5.35pm.
The cause of the fire was accidental, due to a mechanical fault.
