The man who died following a light aircraft crash in Cambridgeshire has been named. The plane crashed in fields near Sibson Airfield, close to Peterborough, just after 2pm on Friday (September 2) causing the A1 to be closed in both directions. Part of the road remained closed until Saturday afternoon. The pilot of the light aircraft, 52 year-old Clive Greenaway, from Stratford-upon-Avon, died from his injuries. There were no other passengers on board. Cambridgeshire police said that the plane - which is thought to have flown into an overhead electricity pylon - had come from Long Marston Airfield in Warwickshire. The Air Accident Investigation Branch is investigation the cause of the crash.
