Firefighters from Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Suffolk are battling a fire at the De Vere University Arms Hotel in Cambridge this morning (October 1).

Around 60 firefighters and 11 engines have been called to the blaze which was reported at 6am this morning and is confined to the top floor of the building,

All 148 guests were successfully evacuated from the building and no injuries were sustained.
