Cambs: Put your boss in the dog house

The Godmanchester charity has devised a novel way of raising funds towards the cost of building its new 97,000 puppy block. It is inviting all employees to nominate their bosses to spend a night in “the dog house”.
The boss in question has to be a willing victim.
But Caroline Wheeler, pictured, who came up with the idea, told The Hunts Post the night would be far from comfortable.
“We don’t want to make it totally unbearable but we do want to make it authentic,” she said.
“The kennels will be cleaned, but that’s about it. It’s not going to be a comfortable night.”

The kennel club victims will be allowed to bring a camp bed and their dog for company.
Walkie-talkies will be provided to allow contact with Wood Green’s security team.
A number of bosses and dignitaries have already been invited to take part, but the event is open to anyone who belives they can raise a minimum of 1,000 for the charity.
Wood Green, which in 2009/10 re-homed 1,715 dogs and 209 puppies, hopes there will be enough takers to raise at least 10,000.
Work on the new puppy block, which will include six state-of-the-art kennels complete with under-floor heating and double-glazed doors, is expected to get under way later this year.
