POLICE responding to reports of an insecure door at a property in Whittlesey entered today (September 9) to find £2million worth of cannabis.

Officers were still at the cannabis factory in Benwick Road this afternoon after they had been called by a member of the public who was concerned about the building’s security.

It is estimated that there are somewhere between 800-1000 cannabis plants at the address with the potential street value of £2 million.

Crime Scene Investigators were carrying out forensic searches at the property this afternoon.
