THREE men are in hospital after being shot with a shotgun in Peterborough this morning (Monday).
Cambridgeshire police were called to Oxney Road at 10am to reports of three injured men, all in their 50s.
One man suffered serious abdomen and thigh injuries, the second man endured injuries to his left arm and back - and the third man suffered injuries to his left leg.
Magpas Helimedix Doctor Nick Foster and paramedic Adam Carr assessed all three patients and administered pain relief to one of them
The first man was then taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, and the other two men were transported to Peterborough City Hospital. Two are in a critical condition and the third is in a stable condition.
Det Insp Dave Grierson, from the Major Crime Unit, said: “The exact details of this incident remain unclear however we believe those responsible for this shooting may have used a vehicle to travel to and from the site.
“I would urge anyone who saw any suspicious activity in Oxney Road, close to the site, to contact police.
“At this stage we are treating this as an isolated incident and enquiries are continuing to trace those responsible.”
