Lengthy delays have built up around Cambridge this morning after a crash involving two lorries.

Emergency services were called to the eastbound carriageway of the A14 at about 5am between the junctions for Stow-cum-Quay and Newmarket.

Firefighters cut free one driver who was trapped. He has been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge.

The road was closed, but one lane has since reopened.
