EMERGENCY medical charity Magpas has a new chairman – Dr Nigel Brown OBE.
Dr Brown is also chairman of the Greater Cambridge Partnership, and was High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire between 2010 and 2011.
Magpas chief executive officer Daryl Brown said: “I am delighted that Nigel has been elected chairman of Magpas. The charity has such a strong foundation within our communities. Nigel understands the absolute significance of this heritage and how important it is for us to develop our world class medical service.
“We are entering a key time in the life of the charity, with the up-coming withdrawal of the Cambridgeshire police helicopter. We need the support of the public to ensure that we can continue to provide our dedicated doctors and paramedics to medical emergencies night and day, by land and by air.”
