Ten young performers fought it out for the top spot at the final on Friday, February 17 at the Burgess Hall, St Ives. Coming in a close second and third were saxophonist Robert Burton, 12, of Easton, and singer Matilda Perez, 15, of Hilton.

The shortlist was whittled down from more than 30 acts that performed across three heats in March, Huntingdon and Cambridge for the competition organised by charity Young Lives and funded by Cambridgeshire County Council.

Special guests Charlie Lake, Young Cambs’ Got Talent 2011 winner, and the Movement Street Dance Academy, also performed at the final. Some of the student team from HCR104fm attended.
