A COUPLE has retrieved a haul of jewellery after spotting it glinting from a riverbed in Cambridge.
The watches, bracelets and earrings were picked out from the River Cam near Green Dragon Bridge, East Chesterton, using a ‘gripper’ shortly after 10am on Tuesday (August 20).
PCSO Janice Upex said: “The couple spotted the items because sun was shining off the metal through the water.
“They carefully picked up every piece then called police to report the find.
“Hopefully someone will recognise the jewellery and we can return it to them.”
INFORMATION: Anyone with any information should call PCSO Upex on 101.
